Hermanos y Hermanas Mexicanos de Aztlan:

"The Mexikans (Mexicanos) lived the great philosophical themes with a keenness which no other civilization in the ancient world ever did. For them life was only a brief passage and nothingness ruled the world. But for the Mexikas, (me-shee-kas) those themes were not just philosophical ideas; they were a religion (spirituality), which gave meaning to every moment of their existence. Completely at the mercy of the gods, mortal men lived in somber devotion with a view to the supreme moment when they would once again be joined with their ancestors, in the timeless beyond."
    –The Mexican Dream

My sisters and brothers, we are presently building a strong Nahualtan attitude in Aztlan and soon we will join nuestra raza in the Holy Land (Mexico). We must remember that our Nahualtan attitude and love in our hearts are the temple and mastermind. The Nahualtan mastermind has always been a harmonious alliance of nuestra raza in Aztlan and the Holy Land. Mexikan thought, culture and spirituality depend on this alliance.

The presence of our sisters and brothers in the Holy Land means a lot to me in terms of sharing our culture and spirituality. We must fashion our Mexicano spirituality with nuestra raza, or it will come to nothingness.

There are strong and determined Nahualtan men behind the walls and dungeons. This makes my life and work behind the wire worthwhile. In this development of our Sixth Sun cultural/spiritual movement we must become aware of Hispanic/Latino Pharisees, for they are ex-natives who will work against Aztlan consciousness.

"Every "la raza" political leader must be the representative of our cultural/spiritual enlightenment or "la raza" leadership is of no value."

There are many here in Aztlan preparing to carry out "La Profecia" de nuestra gente, as written in the Christian New Testament in the Book of John, which states, "The truth shall set you free." We have truth, destiny, faith, and love on our side and even from the dungeons of this oppressor I have witnessed the visions of the liberation of Aztlan. I have witnessed the reunion of our people in Aztlan with our raza from our Holy Land (Mexico).

I have witnessed our finally becoming one as we were from the beginning of our creation – Mexicanos/Mexicanas. We were no longer Chicanos, Hispanics or Latinos. We all finally became one and at the same time became one of the most intelligent races on this earth. We were now one! Somos todos uno! No longer were we divided by the oppressor in believing that we are different here, in Aztlan, and from our Holy Land of Mexico.

The time has come for us to embrace each other as one. We can no longer deny our ancient spiritual/cultural Mexika history. We cannot continue to deny the truth of our lives. Who are we? Why has it taken so long to accept the truth of ourselves? We can never be free nor will the liberation of Aztlan be a reality until we accept our existence on this world of ours.

In short, I proudly share the words of our last Mexicano Emperor, Cuauhtemoc, as he spoke to our ancestors knowing that at the end he would die at the hands of the oppressor.

"Fathers and mothers, do not forget to teach their children how it has been until now; this our beloved Anahuac — the defense and protection of our destiny and also our conduct that our ancestors received and our fathers enthusiastically planted into our being.

Now we mandate our children also not forget to transmit to their children how it will be, how we will reunite, how we will rise again, how we will reach out, and how we will fulfill the great destiny of our race."

    Cuauhtemoc

"I have been sentenced to death imprisonment. May my Mexika blood be the seed for the Mexicano spiritual liberation of the rising of our Sixth Sun in Aztlan."

  • Somos Todos Unos: Prison Writing from Ramsey

    Dear Friends:
The health of Ramsey Muniz has improved! On Thursday
he again underwent a procedure called an ERCP. The
doctor removed two stents that were previously placed
in him and inserted another larger one. Again we
thank everyone for the spiritual support given during
our difficult tests of faith, hope, and the power of God.

Enclosed is the latest essay by Ramsey Muniz, entitled
"Somos Todos Unos." He wrote these sentiments in great pain
(prior to having surgery). How strange that while compiling
his writings I glance at a September 9, 2005 article in the
Kansas City Star which states, "A Mexican army convoy
of nearly 200 people crossed the border into the
United States on Thursday to bring aid to hurricane
victims. It was the first Mexican military unit
to operate on U.S. soil since 1846. The unarmed soldiers,
physicians, nurses and dentists aboard the convoy wore
green uniforms with yellow armbands that said ‘Humanitarian
Aid’ in Spanish.’" This is the essence of who we are,
who we always have been, and always will be.

"The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, signed in 1848, is one through which
the United States of America annexed and seized by force Texas,
Arizona, New Mexico, part of Oklahoma, Colorado, part of Kansas, Utah,
Nevada, and California. The terms of this treaty were "among the
harshest imposed by a winner upon a loser in the history of the world."
Abe Lincoln named this entire episode for what it really was – armed
robbery. And now you tell me, Mexicanos of the 21st century and of our
Sixth Sun, who are the illegal aliens. It is written in our ancient
Mexicano past that the day would come upon us once more to rediscover,
and to reclaim that which was ours from the beginning of our creation
as Mexicanos – not only in our Holy Land (Mexico), but the entire
border which incorporates all of Aztlan."

Hermanos y hermanas of the 21st century, remember our revolutionary
brother and proud soldier of Mexi (me-shee) – Emiliano Zapata. He once
stated unto us, "The revolution has not yet triumphed. In your hands
still is the will and the power to save it. But if unfortunately you do
not, then the shades of Cuauhtemoc, Tlacaelel, Nezahualcoyotl, Hidalgo,
Juarez, and our heroes of all time will stir in their graves to ask,
‘What have you done with the blood of your people?" We must understand
that our Mexicano/Mexicana revolutionaries were visionaries!

"From the heart of the earth Mexicanos feel their resistance and
persistence rise up in him, like the maize that is proud, turning its
green leaves outward. Be proud like the maize and let your ancient
roots go deep, deep, for the rains are here and it is time for us to be
    growing in Aztlan."

    –Tezcatlipoca

It is time for all Mexicanos y Mexicanas that presently live in the
United States of America to rise in protest against racist, oppressive,
and inhumane actions and ill intentions against our Mexicano sisters
and brothers who are only fulfilling our ancient legacy and history by
crossing our rivers into Aztlan (the entire Southwest). The entire
world, different religions, and organizations are aware of the
atrocities against nuestra gente. Our so-called Mexicano/Hispano/Latino
Chicano political leaders must be vocal where our cries for justice can
be heard all the way to our holy temples and our Holy Land of Mexico!
One life, one child, one mother is too much to take away from us and
claim that it was the heat or the currents of our rivers. The world,
the humane community has to become aware of the conclusion that we as a
people, as a race, and as a nation within all nations will no longer
tolerate the increasing deaths of our sisters and brothers at the
    borders.

"Does history repeat itself? Or are its repetitions only penance for
those who are incapable of listening to it? No history is mute. No
matter how much they burn it, break it, and lie about it, history
refuses to shut its mouth. Despite deafness and ignorance, the time
that was continues to tick inside the time that is. When it is truly
alive, memory doesn’t contemplate history. It invites us to make it.
More than in museums where its pour soul gets bored, memory is in the
air we breathe, and from the air it breathes us."

    –Galeano, Eduardo H. Upside Down. p. 210.

We cannot continue to deny who we are in this world. We must return
to our roots and our spiritual history. The oppressor has known from
the beginning that we are like the seed of the maize which grows from
the deep of our Mother Earth. The oppressor was not aware of the fact
that we are Mexikan — Mexi (God) and Kan (chosen people), or God’s
chosen people. And if some doubt my words which come from the darkness
of a racist/oppressive history against mankind, look around you. We
became the majority minority in the entire United States of America.
Most importantly, we became the majority in the land that has risen
(Aztlan) in the Southwest of America. Please advise racist
organizations and vigilante groups that it is really too late, because
    history is on our side!

Why must we tolerate national policies and specific legislation
that applies only to our sisters and brothers from our Holy Land? We
cannot continue to wait for the conscience of our Democratic and
Republican Hispanic elected officials to dismiss the atrocities
committed against nuestra gente. We cannot afford to stage in a realm
of illusions. Therefore, we the grass roots, los barrios, our
communities, our schools in the barrios, Mexicano political prisoners,
la gente del pueblo, will take the forthcoming issue of humanity and
life into the entire free border within all Aztlan (Southwest of
    America).

This is a very spiritual issue stemming from our past cultura into
this night. We come from a past of strength, power, compassion, honor,
dignity, harmony, and liberation. How do you know that the last
Mexicana who died in the desert of Arizona was not your half sister?
Somos todos uno! It saddens me to watch the reality of America when it
presents some of our own Mexicanos/Mexicanas speaking against the most
modern day spiritual journey from our Holy Land, crossing the borders.
We must find it in our hearts to forgive them and remember the biblical
message in the New Testament, "Forgive them for they do not know what
    they do."

What can we say? Our cosmic ancient future has already been
determined, and decreed in the heaves, and we, the Mexicanos of our
Sixth Sun, will behold, sacrifice, suffer, and bring about a great
mystery which must come to pass in Aztlan."

    –Tezcatlipoca

"These people who watch us walk through the streets of the
town are a defeated race. Their stares are tame, almost fearful, and
completely indifferent to the outside world. Some give the impression
that they go on living only because it’s a habit they cannot shake."

    –Jose Marti

The most important issue within the masses of our people
(over fifty million) is the protection, safety, and livelihood
for our children, mothers, and families. The oppressor, the
violator of human rights, must be put on notice that we, los
Mexicanos of the 21st century and our Sixth Sun will no longer
permit for our government to assist minutemen and other
vigilante groups in tracking down our people, as if we
were some type of animal crossing the rivers that call
upon our raza to join us here in the Southwest (Aztlan). I
have had visions and dreams of what is to happen to us as a
race, and lately the message of us all uniting as one continues
to be part of my present Mexicano political life. "While
Europe was passing through its dark ages, Americans (Mexikas)
were flowering in superb cultures. The Golden Age of Mexico
    is known as the Clas

sic Period. It reached from about
    150 B.C. to A.D. 800 or 900…"

  • Update on Ramsey

    Dear Friends:
This note contains current information on the condition of Ramsey Muniz. He remains ill, and is fighting two kinds of bacteria. One bacteria causes liquid to surround his stomach area, and the other has infected his blood. He is improving, but the progress is slow. Below is a synopsis of his progress:

Friday, September 2: I visit Ramsey from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM. They run several procedures, including hemodialysis to filter his blood, as it is infected with E.Coli. They drain liters of bile from the abdomen area through a procedures called paracentesis. Ramsey is out of character, because of the medication administered. He is very irritated, and pulls out a tube from his nose that is used to suction liquid from his stomach. The doctor decides to leave the tube off, and monitors for liquid buildup.

I receive a call from the doctor in the evening. He informs me that the leakage has ceased.

Saturday, September 3: Ramsey undergoes hemodialysis for approximately 4 hours. He also undergoes other procedures and remains heavily sedated. He hardly speaks.

Sunday, September 4: Ramsey speaks, though conversations are brief. I do most of the talking. He informs me that the doctor has visited him and says that he is improving. His face indeed shows improvement, and I have a renewed sense of hope in his recovery. His face reflects amazement and disbelief about what he has experienced.

Monday, September 5: Ramsey undergoes hemodialysis for approximately 3 hours. This difficult procedure leaves him weak and sedated.

Tuesday, September 6: His abdominal area is again drained through the procedure called paracentesis. Three liters are drained, and he is later seen by the doctor who says that a lot of fluid still remains around his abdomen.

Because he has not undergone hemodialysis, he more alert, and converses a little.

His condition is as follows: Fluid around the abdomen. The fluid has yeast, and it is being treated with an antibiotic that fights yeast. He is also being give arimaxin, a general antibiotic.

Wednesday, September 7: He undergoes hemodialysis for approximately 2 hours. He remains weak, but converses a little.

Our sincerest gratitude goes to all who have expressed compassion, love, and concern, and more importantly to those who pray on behalf of my husband.

"The greatest Mexicano holy struggle is that of
spreading truth. Ancient writings state, "En verdad
os digo, "Mexikan (Mexi Kan yn nel-tihuani,neltihua –
    Mexi (pronounced Meh-shi-khan in nel-ti-wa-ni,
sino Mexicas." Y alli fue donde primeramente tomamos
    este nombre de "Mexicanos."

    University of Mexico City

    (written in Nahuatl)

I dare you to ask ten Chicanos, Latinos, and/or Hispanics how it was that we were actually named Mexicanos.
Maybe one out of ten will have knowledge of who we really
are. If we do not know who we are, how can we ever free
    ourselves!

Even through my dreams I’m instructed by the spirits
that our messages of cultura, politica, espiritualidad y
historia must be shared with our brothers and sisters. My
    writings must be translated.

Mine has been a long, hard struggle in life, and only I
can truthfully feel the pain and agony which at the end
brings an enlightenment of love, truth, and liberation for
my people. Yet my strength, power, and desire for knowledge
and wisdom come from the love I have for la raza. It is a
destiny that I must fulfill in order for me to be at peace
in my heart with Mexi (God).

Regarding immigration, my position does not come from what is occurring at the borders of America. It comes from
our ancient writings and what we must now do in the 21st
century. We support the crossing of our people. The sad
part of this issue is that our own raza here voice their
opinions against our own Mexicano sisters and brothers. It
is so simple and clear, yet those in control will make sure
that we are confused and wrong.

Our ancient Mexika writings, codices, symbols, etc., are
similar to the Christian bible, and if there is one thing
America sets forth in one’s face, it is the bible. Well guess
what. We finally found ours, and it is also written that only
a few would be destined from the beginning.

Instead of feeling a negative attitude about the Raza
Unida Democrats, I am pleased because people can call themselves
whatever they wish. In the end it will be the same issue, the
same problem, the same injustices, and the same position of
begging for what is rightfully ours from the beginning of
creation. A couple of years ago I took a strong position
against using "Raza Unida" connected with any oppressive
political party in the United States.

Raza Unida is and will forever be Raza Unida. It was never meant for us
to sleep with the Democratic or Republican parties. People take a
position of pleasing American politics because they are afraid. It’s
that simple. Cuauhtemoc, Guerrero, Juarez, Zapata, and Villa were not
afraid of the hidden giant oppressor who waited to collect the pieces,
and at the end took our land. Tell them to address liberation and land
    now!

I believed with my heart and life the original idea of El Partido. When
the American heat and pressure came, people’s hearts changed quickly.
We will be the destined, chosen ones who will fulfill our future
politically in all Aztlan. Here I am in the dungeons of America,
knowing that if I would surrender my convictions, beliefs, and
principles to the Democratic and Republican parties, I would be a free
man. But there is this strength of love for my people that I will not
    abandon or compromise.

I am a Chicano of the Sixth Sun, and my heart is full of love. For that reason I can never be defeated or denied.

Liberation, justice, and equality will bring love into our hearts
like no other love in the world. If we do not love ourselves, how can
we expect for others to love us? Love is power, love is spiritual, love
is pain, and at the end, love is liberation of the hearts. If we do not
have love in our hearts, how can we ever love our people? Amor es
    nuestra destino. I love love!

Be patient. The heights of heaven are upon us this very night….
